The hotel has two large triangular skylights and a unique pyramid designed around an elevator shaft. The triangles are Series 700 and have internal reinforcements, and the pyramid has a tubular steel subframe that was designed and engineered by Gammans. All 32 of the embedments were placed into the concrete curbs and the subframe was accurately lowered into place with a crane with only a one-eighth inch tolerance over 64 bolts over about 150 feet of curb.
